What is FAD?
There are various types of FADs that recur from time to time. A partial list is below, meant to offer an idea for the flavor of what a FAD can be.
- Ambassadors FAD — a good example is FAD EMEA 2009.
- FUDCon Planning FADs — see FUDCon to learn how these FADs fit into the FUDCon planning process.
- Technical FAD — a good example is the Fedora Development Cycle FAD.
- Sub-project FAD — a good example is the Fedora Documentation FAD held at Southest Linux Fest.

Fedora Activity Day (FAD) Phnom Penh 2014
FAD Phnom Penh 2014 will take place in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 15-16 November 2014 at Development Innovations. The idea of organizing the FAD Phnom Penh 2014 is to gather Fedora Ambassadors from ASIA-PACIFIC (APAC) Region together to work on activities below:
- Our purpose is to complete with the following primary goals:
- Budget planning for APAC (per country as well as the whole region) events/activities in FY2016 (March 2015 – February 2016)
- Future events in each country and the whole APAC
- In addition, we will attempt to complete the following secondary goals as time allows:
- Feedback/comments from APAC Ambassadors
- SWAG & equipment inventory
- who has and where is equipment like rollup etc.
- how to produce more centralized swag and distribute it
On behalf of organizer team, and with the help of our Ambassadors Ban Botrey Nisa, Sirko Kemter and Tuanta, We would like to invite and welcome people who involved to (writers or co-writers) budget planning process in APAC in the last two years. Ref: Ambassadors/APAC/Budget#References , but also we encourage people who are new but really active in their home countries to come to share and learn more experience then they can implement scheduled events/activities in their country.
